Many of you have asked me for a recipe for a simple cake that is baked in a silicone mold and so I decided to create this delicious pound cake. The recipe is very easy and requires very few steps. The cake is soft and flavourful thanks to the addition of marmalade, yogurt and vanilla in the dough. I used orange marmalade but you can use any type of marmalade or yogurt of your preference. Also in the dough you can add chocolate chips or simply decorate it with powdered sugar. It is a perfect cake for a sweet breakfast or for a afternoon snack. For this recipe I used the “Corallo” silicone mold produced by Silikomart.
Decorate as desired with chocolate glaze or simply with powdered sugar. This soft pound cake should be stored at room temperature in a closed container or wrapped well in a cotton cloth. It should stay fresh for 3 days but I assure you it doesn’t last that long.

We made this cake and it was amazing! We poured a strawberry glaze over the top. It was tender and spongy, barely lasted a day in or house! Loved the citrus. Can you please tell me what is the icing you used in the photo? Are those black sesame or nigella seeds?
