Caramelized onion and apple chutney

This caramelized onion apple chutney has a perfectly balanced flavour between sweet, savory and sour. A rich sweet and savory sauce that goes perfectly with meat, fish and cheese.

Ingredients
- 500 g white onions
- 500 g apple
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 50 ml apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp curry
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp (or more) salt

Instructions: Caramelized onion apple chutney
Heat the oil. Add sliced onions and cook on low heat until they become caramelized and soft for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Add sugar and apple cider vinegar and cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes.

Then add lemon juice, mustard, cinnamon, curry, salt and chopped apple slices. Mix well and cook on medium – low heat until the apples start to dissolve, about 5 to 10 minutes.

Once the chutney is ready cool it down completely and store in the fridge for 5 to 6 days.
