Avocado banana green smoothie

This avocado banana green smoothie is an example that certain combinations of flavors can be unusual or weird but in the end it turns out that they are special and tasty. In this particular, thick and soft smoothie I combined banana, avocado, kiwi and arugula. The addition of arugula gives this smoothie a slightly “nutty” flavor while the banana and avocado make it velvety and smooth. Yum!

  • 1 frozen or fresh banana
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 2 kiwi
  • 1 cup (or more) water
  • arugula to taste (I used a small handful)
  • honey, maple syrup or other type of sweetener to taste
  • Instructions below.

Instructions avocado green smoothie

Place banana, avocado, kiwi, water, arugula and honey or another type of sweetener in the blender jug and blend until smooth.

Taste. Adjust with more sweetener if necessary. Add a dash of water if you want to make your smoothie more liquid. Serve immediately.
