Classic chickpea hummus is a amazing spread made of chickpeas and tahini and flavored with olive oil, garlic and lemon juice. It’s a very healthy and tasty appetizer that is prepared with ease. Perfect with crackers, Indian naan bread or bruschetta.
Instructions classic chickpea hummus
Place drained chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice and a few tablespoons of water in a food processor fitted with a blade attachment and blend until smooth. Add more water if you want it to be more liquid and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer to a bowl, pour some olive oil on top, add a dash of paprika and sesame seeds and serve. Hummus gets tastier after a few hours when the flavors are able to mix.
