Instructions: Mussels with beer
Clean the mussels by removing the beard and fouling, discard mussels with broken shells and rinse well in cold water.
Clean and slice celery and cut onion into julienne (long thin strips). Cook the vegetables for a few moments in melted butter.
Add the mussels and cook with lid on for about 3 – 4 min, stirring occasionally. Pour the beer in, stir and continue cooking for another 4 – 5 minutes without the lid.
Serve hot with some grilled bread with olive oil, garlic and parsley mix.
