If you are tired of plain olive oil and vinegar in your salad this basil and mint dressing is perfect for you. It is a thick and creamy sauce with a few ingredients that perfectly match each other. A tasty mix of many basil and mint leaves, lemon zest, good quality extra virgin olive oil, salt, honey and lemon juice. A very green and very fresh sauce. Perfect for dressing salads, grilled or baked vegetables. Try it with caprese salad or grilled shrimp.
Fresh basil and mint salad dressing
- 1 cup basil leaves
- 1/4 cup mint leaves
- 1 organic lemon (zest)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 0,5 tsp honey
- 60 ml extra virgin olive oil
- 0,5 tsp salt
Instructions fresh basil and mint salad dressing
- In a blender equipped with blades, place a cup of basil leaves, a quarter cup of mint leaves and lemon zest from one lemon. Add two tablespoons of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of honey (it will break the acidity). Also add half a teaspoon of salt and 60 ml of extra virgin olive oil.
