Ingredients
  

  • 240 ml water
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Place water, all the spices and vanilla extract into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil while stirring often. Lower the heat and cook over low flame for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Let it cool down then strain the syrup through a very dense strainer, a thick gauze or a paper coffee filter. Serve along with hot drinks such as tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
