Cheese and paprika puffs are super simple and quick to prepare puff pastry appetizers. They are crispy, cheesy and delicious. All you have to do is to twist some puff pastry strips filled with grated cheese and paprika.
Instructions Cheese and paprika puffs
Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle (me 17 x 26 cm). Brush it with egg wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon of water). Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, grated pecorino cheese and a teaspoon of smoked or sweet paprika. Ore use any type of cheese to your liking.
Fold the rectangle in half. Using a wheel cutter or a sharp knife cut out 1.5 – 2 cm wide strips. Pick up one at a time by holding the ends and twist multiple times in opposite directions to create the spirals.
Arrange on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated static oven at 200 °C for 8 – 10 minutes.
