This delicious appetizer with pear, mascarpone cheese and nuts was served to me by a dear friend, who has largely inspired the creation of this site and that has greatly contributed to the birth of my passion for cooking.
The appetizer is:
- quick and simple
- 1 pear
- 4 – 6 walnuts (1 walnut for every slice of pear)
- 4 – 6 tsp mascarpone cheese (1 tsp for every slice of pear)
- lemon juice to taste
- pepper to taste
Instructions appetizer with pear, mascarpone cheese and nuts
Wash and peel your pear. Cut the fruit into round slices about half an inch thick. Use a small cookie cutter, a sharp knife or a teaspoon and remove the core part. Sprinkle the pear discs with some lemon juice.
Put your fruit slices on a plate. Add a teaspoon of mascarpone cheese and a walnut kernel on top of each slice. Season with freshly ground pepper and serve.
