Easy and chic appetizer with pear, mascarpone cheese and nuts

This delicious appetizer with pear, mascarpone cheese and nuts was served to me by a dear friend, who has largely inspired the creation of this site and that has greatly contributed to the birth of my passion for cooking. This appetizer is minimal, quick and simple, elegant and refreshing. Perfect for many occasions like for example Christmas or New Year’s Eve dinner.

Ingredients
- 1 pear
- 4 – 6 walnuts (1 walnut for every slice of pear)
- 4 – 6 tsp mascarpone cheese (1 tsp for every slice of pear)
- lemon juice to taste
- pepper to taste

Instructions appetizer with pear, mascarpone cheese and nuts
Wash and peel your pear. Cut the fruit into round slices about half an inch thick. Use a small cookie cutter, a sharp knife or a teaspoon and remove the core part. Sprinkle the pear discs with some lemon juice.

Put your fruit slices on a plate. Add a teaspoon of mascarpone cheese and a walnut kernel on top of each slice. Season with freshly ground pepper and serve.
